A warm welcome to Class 6U! This is a momentous year—the final peak of the primary school mountain. It is a year of leadership, academic refinement, and celebration.
The Road to Checkpoint
For Year 6U, the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint is a significant milestone. These external assessments in English, Math, and Science (held at the end of the year) provide a comprehensive picture of your child`s strengths as they prepare for secondary school. Our curriculum is tailored to ensure every student feels confident, prepared, and supported through this process.
Global Perspectives
In Year 6, Global Perspectives takes on a leadership role. Students work on a Team Project, learning how to collaborate to create positive change. It is here that the Cambridge values of being "responsible, innovative, and engaged" truly come to life.
The Iringa Adventure
• Day Trips: We integrate various subjects into our local excursions, using our city as a living classroom for History and Art.
• Overnight Trip to Iringa: Year 6U will travel to the highlands of Iringa. This trip is designed to challenge them. Whether it’s visiting the Isimila Stone Age site to see history through a "Global Perspectives" lens or observing the unique agriculture of the region, this trip is a rite of passage for our graduating primary students.
