Welcome to an incredible new chapter of discovery Class 5T! This year is a pivotal time in the primary journey, where we shift gears from foundational learning to more advanced critical thinking and personal responsibility.
The Cambridge Framework & Global Perspectives
Our academic backbone is the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, ensuring your child meets international standards in English, Mathematics, and Science. However, we go beyond the textbooks with Global Perspectives.
This subject is designed to make students "world-ready." We explore themes like social media, the environment, and human rights. Instead of just memorizing facts, Year 5T will focus on:
• Research: How to find reliable information.
• Analysis: Looking at the "why" behind global events.
• Reflection: Thinking about how their own perspective compares to others.
Learning on the Move
• Day Trips: Throughout the terms, we will take several day trips.. These "field laboratories" allow students to see classroom theories—like ecosystem stability or urban planning—in action.
• The Tanga Expedition: Our highlight is the overnight trip to Tanga. This adventure offers a rich blend of history and nature. From exploring the ancient Amboni Caves to studying the coastal geography of the Indian Ocean, students will build independence and lasting friendships.
