Class 4 Dodoma Study Tour

Class 4 Dodoma Study Tour – 2nd to 6th February 2026

A Visit to Parliament

On Tuesday, 3rd February, our Class 4 pupils attended a live Question and Answer session in the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania. Introduced as guests from Dar es Salaam Independent School, they proudly witnessed democratic processes in action. This real-world experience brought their Civics lessons to life.

Cultural & Academic Exchange

The group visited Canon Mwaka International School, engaging in meaningful discussions and building friendships with fellow Cambridge learners. This exchange broadened their perspectives beyond the classroom.

Learning at Babu Pinda’s Farm

Another highlight of the Dodoma trip was our visit to Babu Pinda’s Farm. Here, students gained firsthand experience in modern farming practices, including bee keeping, fishery, grape vine cultivation, and animal husbandry. The interactive tour gave them a deeper appreciation of agriculture’s role in food security and economic development. It was inspiring to see how innovation and tradition blend to sustain communities.

Exploring Magufuli City

Students toured Tanzania’s growing administrative capital, gaining insights into urban planning and modern infrastructure. The impressive development inspired them to think about how cities are designed and built.

Leisure & Bonding

From shopping at Shoppers Plaza to swimming at St. Gasper Hotel’s Olympic-size pool, the trip balanced learning with fun. Our students happily declared themselves “Dolphins” for a while!

Reflections

All in all, the Dodoma study tour was a fantastic blend of education and enjoyment. It was a trip filled with discovery, pride, friendship, and unforgettable experiences.

“This trip has inspired our students to dream bigger, think critically, and embrace their role as future leaders of Tanzania.”
